Dr. Sushil Satija was guest worship speaker at the First Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 10. DR. SATIJA, president of the Indian Students at the U of U, spoke as a resource person for the church's celebration of the theme "Christ to India", which is the 1976 theme of the World Fellowship Offering. Dr. Satija, who comes from the northern part of India told the congregation that his country has made gigantic strides in the years since independence in 1947 and believes for the present, India ought to emphasize agricultural agricul-tural development. THE CHURCH'S 1976 goal for the World Fellowship Offering Of-fering is to raise $180 to send to its Indian mission fields. That amount would provide enough rice for 1800 meals or over 2000 visits to a health clinic. The offering will be taken Sunday, Oct. 24, during the 11 a.m. worship service. |
