Show Citizens' Day at the Legislature A special day has been planned to enable the citizens of Utah to personally meet their representatives represen-tatives in the legislature now it is in session. Friday, Feb. 2, has been set aside for this special event. There will be a registration time from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Everyone will meet in the auditorium of the state office building at 9:30 a.m., where there will be an orientation. At 1 1 a.m. a rally will be held in the rotunda. Lunch will be available at 12 noon with members of the Utah Legislature. This will give everyone present a chance to ask questions. The Golden Years Center would like to see a large participation. There are financial needs to be recognized rec-ognized by our state government. Other events are upcoming at the center. Blood pressures will be taken at the center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The lunch menu at the Golden Years Center will be: Monday, Feb. 5, baked fishcheese sauce, scalloped potatoes, orange glazed beets, sour cream, coleslaw, chilled peaches, poppy seed roll and milk. Tuesday, Feb. 6, roast porkgravy, whipped potatoes, carrot medley, tossed saladdressing, cinnamon applesauce, ap-plesauce, wholewheat roll and milk Wednesday, Feb. 7, porcupine meatballs, parslied buttered noodles, steamed cabbage, waldorf salad, chocolate cake, dinner roll and milk. Thursday, Feb. 8, chicken Cantonese, Can-tonese, baked beans, buttered broccoli, broc-coli, fruit salad, iced pumpkin bar, wholewheat roll and milk. Friday, Feb. 9, Bavarian pattie, mushroom gravy, baked potato, stewed celery, sunshine jello salad, chilled plums, blueberry muffin and milk. Stop by the Golden Years Center to pick up a copy of the lunch menu for the month and information on the Citizens' Day at the Legislature on Friday, Feb. 2. |
