This exhibition is part of the Utah Arts Council's Traveling Exhibition program. The exhibition consists of works which were selected from schools throughout the city of Matsumoto, Japan, and were given to the Salt Lake Sister City committee. Ms. Carolyn Caine, in accepting the gift for Salt Lake City, pledged to share them with as many people as possible. possi-ble. The artwork was done by children six to 14 years of age and includes painting, drawing and printmaking techniques. The pictures pic-tures reflect the Japanese children's visions of the world around them and have given much joy and understanding to those who have viewed them. This exhibition is one event in an ongoing program of cultural and' civic exchanges between Matsumoto, Mat-sumoto, Japan and Salt Lake City. It has been prepared by the Salt Lake Sister City committee, with funding from the Utah Arts Council and the Utah Endowment for the Hum-nannies. Student prints are displayed in traveling exhibit The Traveling Exhibition Program Pro-gram is a statewide outreach service of the Utah Arts Council. The program pro-gram provides schools, museums and galleries throughout the state with over 20 choices of exhibitions which may be booked for a period of a month.
