Show r Leek watercolor exhibit at BDAC The BountifulDavis Art Center is currently featuring an exhibit of 66 new watercolor paintings by Thomas Leek. Included are paintings of the can- yonlands, the California seacoast and some modern works. The exhibit ex-hibit continues through Feb. 23. Also, the Gift Gallery presents a variety of arts and crafts by local ar- tists. Choose from ceramics, paintings, pain-tings, wood carvings, jewelry and hand-painted scarves. Thomas Leek is a full-time artist He was curator and professor of the Weber State College art program and also a professor of art and department chairman at SUSC, where he founded the Braithwaite Gallery. He has given numerous workshops and received many awards. He has served as juror and judge for many art exhibits. His work has been exhibited throughout Utah and Nevada and at the Heritage Gallery in Los Angeles. A large number of pieces are in permanent collections across the U.S. The BountifulDavis Art Center, 2175 S. Main, is open to the public at no charge, Monday 5-9 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 2-5 p.m. |
