Show Seminar planned atUSU FARMINGTON All 4-H and other youth leaders are invited to attend at-tend a special "Youth at Risk" in-service in-service training program sponsored by the Utah State University Extension Exten-sion service. The training will be held February 13, 14 and 15 in the Ec-ccles Ec-ccles Conference Center on the campus of USU in Logan. Sessions start at 9 a.m. There is a $5 per day registration fee that can be paid at the beginning of each day. Dr. Leah Cox Hoopfer, Deputy Administrator, 4-HYouth Development De-velopment for the national ES-UiiJA, ES-UiiJA, will be the guest speaker on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Her topic will be "Visioning Positive Possible Futures in Youth Development Dr. Hoopfer is nationally known for her motivational speaking ability abil-ity and her contributions to youth at risk programs. Prior to her present appointment, she was a Kellogg fellow. She was instrumental in developing de-veloping the innovative youth development de-velopment program called SPACES: Preparing Kids for a High-Tech and Global Future. |
