Show Alden Burton FRUIT HEIGHTS Alden Burton, 78, passed away after a brief illness with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He was born Oct 19, 1911 in Kaysville, to Heber A. and Annie Butcher Burton. He married Nora Adams June 2, 1943 in Morgan. Their marriage was solemnized in the 1 lJ and construction. He lived in the Kaysville and Fruit Heights area all of his life. He was one of the founding fathers of Fruit Heights and served on the town board. He also helped get a pressure irrigation system into Fruit Heights and Kaysville. Surviving are his wife of Fruit Heights; one son and two daughters, Jay and wife Marsha Burton, Fruit Heights; Mrs. Loren (Sharlene) Smith, Mrs. Max (Kaye) Mifflin, both Layton; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Les (Emma) Anderson, Uintah; Mrs. Darrell (Helen) Bass, LaVern Bingham, all of Ogden, Two grandsons, Burton Smith and Sheldon Smith, have lived with them the past three and a -half years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ivan Burton Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Salt Lake LDS Temple June 19, 1963. He was a high priest in the Fruit Heights Third LDS Ward. He was a fruit grower all of his life and received many awards in the field of horticulture. He was also a bus driver for the Davis County schools for 33 years and worked at the Davis Farm Co-Op for many years. He served on the Central Davis Sewer District, helping in its development |
