Show Clark to perform at Bountiful Fine Arts Guild Meet The Bountiful Fine Arts Guild's first meeting in the '90s will feature Coleen Clark, classical pianist. The guest artist will appear at the Feb. 14 meeting to be held at the Bountiful Boun-tiful Library, 725 S. Main St at 7 p.m. Clark, a native of Idaho, attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in music. She has studied with Robert Smith, Lowell Fan and currently cur-rently with Gary Amano. She has been active with the Utah Symphony as a volunteer in various programs. Clark and her husband, J. D. Clark, served as a "host family," fami-ly," for the "Gina Bachauer International Inter-national Piano Competition" held f ft- COLEEN CLARK November meeting, entitled "Haws Family Hobbies," was held at the Haws home. A solarium in the family home filled with flowers, plants, trees and rocks, porcelain and crystal pieces, Indian jewelry, books, painting and other sentimental sentimen-tal objects collected in their travels were displayed. The December meeting was held at President Beth Cran dill's home. It was the Christmas dinner and the program was given by the guild's officers, Beth Crandall, Jean Bangerter, Norma Alter, Marco Cushing, Jean Haws and Mary Lynne Cline. A book review, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," was given by Mary Lynne Zimmerman , after which Santa Claus appeared' and gave gifts to all guild members. Porcelain swans made by Jean Bangerter were favors given to members also. Christmas songs, led by Audrey Parker, added to the Christinas spirit. The guild's next meeting will be held March 14 at Joyce Tolman's home. The theme is "Music and Drama," Dora Flack will present "Those Who Love," by Irving Stone. in Salt Lake City at Symphony Hall. She also served as a Symphony Guild Docent for the fifth grade ' ' Out Reach Program," which prepared students for their visit to Symphony Hall. She has been active ac-tive in many musical circles in Utah and is currently giving private piano lessons. Clark has chosen the following selections for her performance, "Unsospiro, by Franz Liszt," "Hungarian Rhapsodie No. 11 by Franz Liszt" and "Chopin Scherzo in B Minor." Beth Crandall, guild president, will conduct the meeting. She extends ex-tends an invitation to all people who would like to attend. It is open to the public. Joyce Goodfellow, Zelma Duffin, Man Campbell and Beth Hibler will be hostesses for the evening. The Fine Arts Guild is one of the oldest art groups in Davis County. It was organized over 50 years ago by a group of women interested in studying and promoting the various forms of the arts. The guild's October 1989 meeting was held at the Mandarin Restaurant.
