Show Team takes first-place honors USA Gymnastic World Level Six Gymnastics team took first-place honors at the state meet held recently re-cently in Price. Becky B as sett took second place with a 35.5 in all-around. She also took first on the balance beam, second se-cond on the vault and sixth place on the bars. Mindy Murray was third in the state with a 35.10 all-around. She came in second on the floor exer- cise and seventh on the balance beam. Tara Bell placed fifth with a 34.7 all-around, placing first on the bars, and first on floor exercise. Mikelle Nyborg placed third on the vault and fifth on the bars. She was sixth all-around with a 34.4. Jennifer Brown was seventh in the state by placing second on the beam, fourth on the bars, and seventh sev-enth on floor exercise for a total all-around all-around score of 34.35. Heather Hansen was eighth in the state with 34.30, placing fourth on the beam, eighth on foor exercise and ninth on the bars. Ninth place in the state went to Becky Ward with a 34.10 all-around score by placing first on the vault and second on bars. Janet Tidwell was 10th with a 33.90 all-around score, and Heidi Thomas was 11th with a 33.85 all-around all-around score. Next in line was Sally Spencer with a 33.80 all-around score, and Melissa Bullard placed 15 th in all-around. In the 12-14 year-old division, Kristin Christensen took fifth with a 35.0 score; Angel Barlow placed 10th with a 34.75 score; and Staci Shariff finished 14th. In the 15-year-old class, Sarah Larrabee stole the show with a first-place first-place finish and a 36.75 all-around score. She placed first in the vault, first on floor exercise, first on bars, and second on the beam. |
