Show HEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES Mrs. Hulda Peterson Mrs. Leatha Farnsworth and two daughters, Nellie and Jean-nie, Jean-nie, of Ogden, spent the Easter holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dalley and their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dalton In Parowan. The group picnicked at the Five Mile with Leland Dalley and his family. Mrs. Farnsworth and her daughters returned to Ogden late Sunday. Miss Charlotte, Chuck and Eddie' Ed-die' Rennle stayed with their grandmother, Mrs. Hulda Peter-son. Peter-son. while their parents made a business trip to Salt Lake City. Ivan E. Wittwer spent Saturday Satur-day with his mother, Mrs. Hulda Peterson, pruning trees and preparing pre-paring a garden spot. "Miss Colleen Fife celebrated her birthday Saturday with a lawn party for her friends from Summit and Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dalley made a business trip to Salt Lake City. On the return trip they j brought Mr. Dalley's mother, Ar-dena Ar-dena Dalley, back to Summit. Mrs. Dalley has been staying with her daughter, Ola Aldridge, who has been ill this winter. I Miss LaRay Mathews of Richfield Rich-field visited for a short time with her sister, Pauline Hulet. LaRay participated in the Vocational Day activities at the College of Southern Utah Saturday. Mrs. Ella Lawrence returned home Thursday after spending a week with ser son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Max E. Reese in Garland. She also visited vis-ited with her niece, Mrs. Zina Hartshorn and family in Eph-raim. Eph-raim. Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Madsen of Cedar City and Miss Billie Clark of Springville visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen Sunday. I Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle t Hulet gave a birthday dinner for I Mr. Hulet's grandmother, Mrs. Susanna Hulet. Those in attend-j attend-j ance were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. I Adams of Cedar City, Mr. and I Mrs. Oscar Hulet, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hulet and other family members. mem-bers. A pleasant time was enjoyed en-joyed by all. Joseph Stapley has been released re-leased from the service and has returned to his home. Joseph's father, Earl Stapley, who Is employed em-ployed at Bountiful, came home to spend the week end with his son and family. Gayland Farrow has returned to San Francisco, Calif., to report re-port for duty with the U. S. Navy following a brief leave. Bob Pothier and his sister visited vis-ited at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fife, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards visited in Parowan Sunday afternoon. af-ternoon. The Primary organization gave the program in sacrament meet ing Sunday. Several of our townspeople attended at-tended the Parowai Stake excur-sion excur-sion to the St. George Temple last Wednesday evening. Clarence Smith, a resident of California, is visiting here with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant and family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Benson and boys of Parowan, visited In Summit Sunday. The Primary officers and teachers teach-ers held their preparation meeting meet-ing at the home of Mrs. Helen Richards Monday evening. Following Fol-lowing the meeting Mrs. Richards served the group Ice cream and cookies. |
