Show MIR Groups Elect Officers Rt Election Frolic At an election frolic held recently re-cently in the First Ward L D S chapel, the Stake Jr. M-Men and Jr. Gleaners chose the presidents for the coming year. Zola Limb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melbrum Limb of the Cedar Third Ward, was elected president of the Jr. Gleaners to succeed Jeanine Gower of the Ce-1 dar Third Ward. Zola will work with the ward president and the Stake Jr. Gleaner leader, Wil-ma Wil-ma Petty, to carry on the stake functions. Dell Slack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Slack of the Cedar Fifth Ward, was elected president of the Jr. M-Men to succeed Terry Bolander of the College Ward. Dell will work with the ward Jr. M-Men presidents and the stake Jr. M-Men leader Frank J. Petty to carry on the stake functions. The election frolic was en-Joyed en-Joyed by about 80 Jr. M-Men and Gleaners of the stake and the evening was spent in presenting present-ing skits by each ward to Intro- duce their candidate for the of- fice. Also, games, led by Janette i Fullerton were played and re- freshments were served during i the evening. The event was under the direction di-rection of Majorle Robinson and Frank J. Petty. The next scheduled Joint function func-tion to be held for these groups will feature a tape recording by Tres. El Rey L. Christiansen, speaking on "Temple Marriage." |
