Show Silver Gleaner Pins Presented at Imposing Ceremonies Silver Gleaner Awards were presented to five girls of the Cedar Ce-dar Stake at the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association session of the quarterly stake conference held Sunday evening. Those receiving the awards, which were presented by Marjor-ie Marjor-ie Robinson, included: Myna Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Walker; Bonnie Slier-ratt, Slier-ratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sherratl; Sylvia Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith; Joy Flanigan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elsworth Flanigan, and Viola Bryant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Del V. Bryant. The Silver Gleaner Award is given to young ladies In the M. I. A. program who complete all requirements In personality, leadership, lead-ership, recreational and study fields. Purpose of the award and requirements is to stimulate mental men-tal and iecreational activities under a spiritual background. Music at the special session was furnished by a stake MIA chorus under the direction of Bee Roberts and Ada Palmer. Elder Paul Felt of the L D S( Institute of Religion delivered the i principal address on "Temple Marriage." |
