' -. - I 'I . t I BILL LAMB Selections were made this week on the annual essay contest sponsored at the Cedar City High School by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Theme of the essay contest was "What Civil Defense Means to Me." Wayne Decker, senior student, won first place; Loi3 Lindsey, second, and Bill Lamb, third. These students will receive cash awards at the annual award assembly of the school at the culmination of the school year. Decker's winning essay will now be sent to Salt Lake City where It will be Judged along with other local unit winners. The state winner will then participate par-ticipate in the national contest, officers of the VFW Auxiliary stated. Judging of the essay's was done by impartial Judges who Judge by essay number only. Not until the final selections were made did the Judges know the name of the winner. Numerous students at the local school participated in the contest I this year. |
