Show Women Voters to Hear Report On National Confab Mrs. D. C. Schmutz, who returned re-turned last week from Denver, Colo., where she attended the national convention of The League of Women Voters, will make a report next week to the unit members in Cedar City, according ac-cording to Mrs. Dale Milne, publicity pub-licity director for the local group. Mrs. Schmutz will report on the convention in meetings scheduled for Tuesday, May 11, at 10 a. m. and again Thursday, May 13, at 2 p. m. Both meetings will be held in the courtroom of the City and County building in Cedar Ce-dar City. All members and interested inter-ested persons are urged to attend. at-tend. Mrs. Schmutz indicated that policies and objectives at the national na-tional convention were set down. It was decided, she stated, that the league will support trade policies which will help solve national and international problems. prob-lems. Second objective of the national na-tional group will be the development develop-ment of understanding of the relationship re-lationship between individual liberty li-berty and the public interest. Delegates of the Cedar City league will attend the state convention con-vention at Provo this month, including Mrs. Schmutz, Mrs. M. I A. Cowley, Mrs. Walter Granger, I Mrs. Kenneth Reese, Mrs. Arthur Gardner and Mrs. Dale Milne. |
