Howard Dalley made a trip to Salt Lake City last week and brought his mother, Mrs. Ordena Dalley, home. She has spent the wintei with her son-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Aldridge. Mr. and Mrs. John Jones attended at-tended a birthday party for Smith Stapley Saturday night in Cedar City. They left early Sunday Sun-day on a short business trip to Salt Lake City. Summit residents who attended attend-ed the old folks party at Paro-wan Paro-wan last week included Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dalley, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen, Mrs. Ordena Dalley, Mrs. L'lla Lawrence, Mrs. llulda Peterson and Mrs. Susana Hulet. Members of the bishopric and presidents of the relief societies so-cieties of the stake served during dur-ing the evening, including Bishop Bish-op and Mrs. Lyle Farrow and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport. Kitchen workers included Mrs. Minnie Dalley, Mrs. Viokt Ilulet, Mrs. Arma Dalley, Mrs. Leona Smith and Mrs. Clara Bryant. Serving on the committee, making arrangements arrange-ments for transportation, were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White. All j those who attended reported an enjoyable evening. A number of the older people peo-ple of Summit attended an open house in Parowan Sunday afternoon after-noon at the home of Berneice Evans, given in honor of her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Miller on , her 80th birthda. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Grimshaw attended the open house in Cedar Ce-dar City at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lawrence on the occasion oc-casion of their golden wedding anniversary. K(nt Hulet of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Evans of Cedar City, spent the week end at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. Delwin Chamberlain Chamber-lain and two small children are back home again after spending sometime with Mrs. Chamberlain's Chamber-lain's parents in Washington, Utah. Primary children of the younger young-er age were entertained on the lawns of Mrs. Hulda Peterson in place of their regular class session. They enjoyed games and refreshments. Mis. Manda Pace visited at tiie home of Mr. and Mrs. Rugger Rug-ger l ife Monday. |
