Show Seven Music Groups To Participate In St. George Festival Seven music groups from the Cedar junior and senior high schools under the direction of A. B. Larson, Roy L. Halversen and Wallace Adams, will participate in the Region Six Music Festival at St. George Saturday. Activities Activi-ties will begin at 9 a. m. and continue throughout the day until un-til evening. Groups from the Cedar City schools to participate will be the junior and senior high school bands under the direction of Mr. Larson, the junior and senior high school orchestras under the direction of Mr. Halversen, a junior jun-ior high mixed chorus, high school mixed chorus and a high school girls chorus under the direction di-rection of Mr. Adams. The junior high school orchestra orches-tra and high school band will play at 9 a. m., with the high school orchestra playing at 10 a. ni. At 1 p. m. the junior high band will play, at 1:40 the high school mixed chorus will sing, to b followed by the high school girls chorus at 2 p. m., and the junior high mixed chorus taking the stage at 2:20 p. m. Times for hand and orchestra sight reading read-ing have not been announced. However, the sight reading performances per-formances are not open to the public. The final event of the day, to begin at about 4 p. m. will be the band marching. All bands from Region Six. schools will parade pa-rade through the main portion of town and then maneuver on the Dixie College campus. |
