Show Four First Warders Receive Explorer Silver Award Four young men of the Cedar First Ward Explorers were the re cipients of the coveted Silver Award last Sunday evening In an impressive court of honor for explorers. ex-plorers. Carl Kirtlev, Dan Webster, Fred Smith and Scott Bulloch, all received re-ceived the Silver Award, highest high-est honor to be obtained in the explorer program. The awards were presented by Elwood J. Cor-ry, Cor-ry, Cedar stake president. Under the guidance of Dale Tlngey and Walter Hanslnk, leaders in the First Ward tiro-gram, tiro-gram, these four bovs joined four others of the First Ward group In obtaining this high soot in explorer ex-plorer work. As a matter of fact they are four of 11 holders of the SUver Award in all of southern south-ern Utah, according to Lewis Mc-Clellen, Mc-Clellen, supervisor of the district. To accomplish this task and be in line for the coveted award these voung men have completed complet-ed 32 projects, and have napsed those nrojects to the satisfaction satis-faction of tho' leaders in the nrogram. The 32 nrolects are selected se-lected from the fields of vocational voca-tional exploration, aviation and navigation, outdoor skills and .emergency skills.
