Show Preparations Under Way for Hi School Graduation Preparations got under way this week for the annual graduation grad-uation exercises at the Parowan High School with the graduation committee from the faculty, headed by Marvin Graff, announcing an-nouncing a tentative list of graduates grad-uates and outlining the program for the commencement exercises. The exercises will be held on Wednesday, May 26 in the Third I ward L D S chapel. The theme for the exercises as selected by the senior class members mem-bers will be: "Forward Tomorrow: Tomor-row: With Hope or With Fear" and this theme will be the topic of talks by four student speakers selected to represent the class on the program. The students are Dorothy Simkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Simkins; Shirley Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robinson, Paragonah; Ljle Dalton, son of Mrs. Christine Chris-tine Dalton, and Clifford Robb, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Robb, Paragonah. Guest speaker for the occasion wiil be Dr. Erigham D. Madsen of the political science department of brigham Young University at Provo. Principal Max S. Dalley will present the class for graduation gradua-tion rnd diplomas will be presented pre-sented by Superintendent Ian-thus Ian-thus Wright. Other parts on the program are also being arranged by the graduation committee and students. Members of this year's senior class who have qualified and been accepted for graduation at this time are: Richard Batt, Roy Benson, Jr., Lyle G. Dalton, Tom Dobrusky, Jay H. Stolk, Mama Heap, Mary Carol Lemmon, Zella Mortensen, Carl Munford, Maxine Rasmus-son, Rasmus-son, June Robinson, Shirley Robinson, Rob-inson, Elwyn Rowley, Dorothy Simkins, Charles Topham and Eugene Topham. |
