Show Cedar City Wildlife , Federation Starts Membership Drive At a meeting of the board of directors of the Cedar Wildlife Federation held Wednesday night plans were completed for the annual an-nual membership drive, approval of a junior wildlife federation was given, and reports heard on fish planting in local waters. Grant Seegmiller, federation president, reports that the membership mem-bership drive will open Tuesday, May 11, with a concerted drive to be made on that day, and to continue until every prospective member has been contacted. Approval was given for the organization of a Junior Wildlife Federation under the sponsorship of the Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce with supervision by the federation. Membership will be up to 15 years of age. Reports from the Mammoth fish hatchery indicated that 30,-000 30,-000 small German brown trout have been planted in Duck Creek, and also 1200 pounds of legal size browns. The report also indicated in-dicated that 24 loads, or 50,000 German brown trout had been planted in Panguitch Lake. It has been impossible to reach Navajo Lake to make plantings there but a good planting will be made in the near future, it was repented. re-pented. Plans were also made for a membership meeting to be held on June 3, at which time State Fish and Game officials will meet with the local group. |
