Show Blood Donations Pass 100 Pints For Second Time Parowan and Paragonah made another very fine showing in contribution con-tribution of blood when the State bloodmobile visited here on Monday Mon-day of this week according to Eugene Eu-gene Orton. who was chairman of the blood donor program this time. With a quota of pledges set at 125 for Monday, which was reached, a total of 106 pints of blood was donated by local citizens citi-zens during the day. This is two more pints than was taken in the first visit of the bloodmobile to Parowan in December. Of the 125 pledges gathered by canvassers, 14 ho appeared were rejected for one cause or another, a number of the pledges didn't show up for unknown reason, rea-son, and a few persons appeared to contribute who hadn't been contacted. This was felt to be a very fine showing for a community this size. Mr. Orton extends his appreciation ap-preciation to all who helped in the canvass and gave aid at the denation center on Monday, as well as to those who gave their blood for this worthy project. |
