Show Seven Stakes Gather For Region Dance Festivities Regional Dance Festival to be held in the beautiful Dixie Sun Bowl Saturday, May 8, at 8 p. m. will be host this year to approximately approxi-mately 85!) dancers. Seven stakes of the L D S church will be represented and the affaii will be under the direction di-rection of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Holt of Enterprise. Cedar Stake will send a contingent of about 250 people to the festival, according to Dee Walker and Marridon Smith, Cedar Stake dance directors. I Mrs. Lester Heyborne of Cedar City prepared the script for the annual affair and Forrest Hunter will narrate the festival activi- ties. In the finale of the dance festival the "Delores" dance will feature 42 groups of 10, including nine giils and one boy. The specialty numbers will be included in the festival. A dance group from the College of Southern South-ern Utah will perform, a special square dance section for the region re-gion will be held and a group of students under the direction of Reynolds Johnson will perform. Eech year the event has grown in interest and in spectacle with pro'iably the largest in the history his-tory of the event to be held on Satmday night. All seven wards in Cedar City will be represented according to the stake directors. |
