UTAHNS BID HIGH ON ALFALFA SEED The Utah state farm bureau yesterday received the following report from the bureau of markets with reference to alfalfa al-falfa and sweet clover seed prices: Chicago Alfalfa and sweet clover seed prices were the same as last week's prices of $35 f. o. b. Chicago for fodder free alfalfa seed, and $27 f. o. b. for sweet clovor seed. Kansas City Seedsmen were bidding $33 to $35 on Tuesday for clean Kansas alfalfa seed, good quality basis seed, f. o. h. country points. Most bids were for $33. Clean sweet clover, good quality basis, f. o. b. Kansas country points, sold at $22.50 to $2G. Kansas City seedsmen seeds-men report that dealers in Utah and Idaho wore bidding so' high that Kansas City seedsmen were unable to compete; hence thcro was little activity on their part.
