This hit can be better appreciated ap-preciated when it is token into consideration consid-eration that the grounds are about tne largest in America, and to the present no one ever has tilted the sphere over any of the field fences. Ruth's swat was more of a line drive than an air invader. After the ball lett the. bat it seemed to gain momentum anci appeared gradually to rise.
