Appointments of artillery officers for the batteries at Salt Lake and Prove are expected to be made in the near future. fu-ture. v Captain Burton is a native of Salt Lake and is engaged in the wholesale lumber business. He was an employee of the city engineer's office from 1901 to 1903, and for the three years following was vice consul at Glenean, in the British Islands. He received his commission by promotion from private in A troop, already al-ready organised. He served two years in the citizens' training camp at the University of Ut&h. LUutenan I Morrison is a native of Blairton. Wyo,, and a graduate of the Los Angeles high school and of the field artillery officers' (raining school at Camp Zachary Taylor, Ky. He served at various va-rious times as battery sergeant major, personnel officer, assistant brigade adjutant ad-jutant and was commanding officer of the Twenty-first battery, field artillery, when the armistice was signed. He is now chief clerk of the Utah Fuel company com-pany offices here. Lieutenant Thomas is a dentist by profession, pro-fession, and a native of Winchester, Ont.
