Show REPUBLIC BANK FLFCTSJFFKRS David Smith Is Named Vice President at Reorganization Reorgani-zation Meeting. The reorganization of the National Bank, of' the Republic, involved' in the sale of the majority of the stock in the Institution by Mrs. Frank Knox and her two sons, De Witt and George G. Knox, to David, Albert and M. A. Smith; was announced an-nounced yesterday. E. A. Culbertson, who has been president of the bank for a number of years, will continue at the head of the bank. David Smith, formerly a director of tiie bank and one of the three brothers who purchased the Knox interest with Mr. Culbertson, is named as vice president, presi-dent, succeeding De Witt Knox. W. F. Earls, for many years cashier of the bank, will retain that office. Enos Hoge becomes be-comes assistant cashier, after having served the bank for a considerable period as paying teller. M. A. Smith was named yesterday as a director. The other vacancy on the board of directors will be filled In the near futlre. Under the new regime the bank's policies will remain as iri the past, according ac-cording to an announcement made by Mr. Culbertson and the Smith brothers. The National Bank of tho Republic was established In 1S90 by Frank Knox and has become one of the strong financial : Institutions of the city and stale, laking j a prominent part in upbuilding of the i industrial and commercial enterprises. |
