Show MURPHY WILL PLAY -ILLORl.liEIL - Lockett and Larkins Are Eliminated in Semi-final for Cup. F. S. Murphy and R. O. Halloran came out victors in yesterday's semi -final matches for the Directors' cup. Halloran (12) defeated C. C. Ticket t (S), six up i J and five to play, and Murphy (S) was winner over W. .-S. Larkins (li), five up and four to play. These four contestants for the cup were each one a winner of a monthly leg which were played during . May, June. July and August, and the finals between Murphy and Halloran will be played this morning at 9:30 o'clock. In yesterday's blind bogey , match, which number was (seventy-1 wo, O. J-Salisbnry J-Salisbnry was winner with seventy-three, and R. G- Halloran, James Ingebrctsen and Jtfel Nibley were tied for second with seventy-four strokes each. The state champfonship, which will start on the local links nest Sunday, will see a large number of golfers entered. tt It is expected that the Ogden club will have a large field of participants in the event, and it is probable that a team match will be arranged between the two I clubs wliile the Ogden players are here.
