Show HEW fiffiSM Detachable All-year-top Innovation In-novation Is Called the "Sedanlet." THREE CARS IN ONE New Features Make This Late Auto Suitable for All Seasons. According to Manager W. H. White of the ntcr-AIountain Motor Car company, com-pany, distributors of KissclKars, the Kissel Motor Car company of Hartford, Wis., lius announced a new Kissel innovation inno-vation that of a detachable all-year top, in which all windows but the rear ono can be lowered or raised making its annoarance in tho now tour-passenger car and tho new five-passenger btnggored-door model. "bcdanlet" is the catchy name for tho new Kissel four-passenger model. As tho name implies, H is a small Sedan, combining all i he comforts of the Sedan Se-dan wilh the utility and economy of the roadster. But while it is a sport or club model, in that it is a four-passenger car there the similarity ends and the Kissel origi-nalitv origi-nalitv begins. In' the Sedanlet is found the result of Kissel's experience in originating and building the all-year car. Without :t doubt, perfection in body designing nnd building a car for all-year utility and comfort reaches its highest state of perfection in the Sedanlet. Ono of tho big features of this new model, a featuro that is destined to revolutionize the utility of tho convertible con-vertible type of automobile, is that the Sedanlet 's all-year top is not only entirely en-tirely removable ' but through the exclusive ex-clusive Kissel design all the windows excepting tho Tear one can be raised or lowered at will. This featuro goes every convertible car one better, in that it is virtually three cars in ono. In severely cold and stormy weather the Sedanlet is entirely enclosed, with no rattles or draughts, no visible fastenings or attachments. - Suitable All Seasons. For the early spring and fall months the windows mav be lowered, thus giv-ine giv-ine owners of tho Sedanlet all the advantages ad-vantages of the convertible car. In addition, owners during the summer sum-mer months can remove the all-year ton, giving them a wido-open car on which is placed a new, distinctive and original Eenii-Victoria style summer top, which is standard equipment. "That the new Kissel four-pnssenger 1 Sedanlet is destined to create new standards in the year-round automobile, there is no doubt," said White. "Ba-fore "Ba-fore this model was announcod there were onlv two different types of auto-nvjbiles, auto-nvjbiles, the car with a permanent roof in whi.-h ail tho windows drop down, hut in which the roof could not be re-muvrd, re-muvrd, and the car with the detachable top, wiii-h i-ouhi be removed, but in winch all the windows could nut be io.vL'rcl. "in the new Sedanlet both of these types are found and, in addition, has the-oxchirrive features of remuving the winter top. 'As everybody knows, Kissel originated origi-nated the two cars in one idea three years ago. Since that time he has maintained his leadership in the all-year all-year idea. In no other car can be found su'-h perfection in body designing and building. In the new Sedanlet this perfection per-fection is even more noticeablo, setting a new standard not only in coach building, build-ing, hut in vi"tually trebling the utility of tins typo of automobile. '''i'lie sport or flub model of automobile automo-bile -yus orig-n.nled to fill a certain requirement re-quirement n luring a class of car purchaser purchas-er who did not want a large automobile, automo-bile, but wanted one that was not too I In rise to fill the needs of a roadster, yet one not too small to fill the requirements require-ments of a sedan. Designed for Comfort. "The result has been that each manufacturer manu-facturer has tried to givo the greatest amunnt of room in the smallest space. This has had a tendency in some jnod-els jnod-els to make the foot and leg space 'and seats in the rear too small, while In other models the space and seats in the front are too small, and in still other models both spaces and seats have been small and cramped. "In designing the Sedanlet, Kissel realized that unless ho made the best use of the limited space in this type of automobile his car would not offer any new advantages over the present four-passenger four-passenger models now on the market. "That Kissel has made the best use of tho room is evidenced by the ample space that is provided between the seats and aisles and the unusual width of the doors. "When you consider that the front seats arc sixteen inches wide and still allow sixteen inches of leg room, you can see where his experience in body building has stood him in good stead. Again, with the rear seat 4314, inches wide and 19 inches deep, there is still fifteen inches of leg room, thus insuring insur-ing thorough comfort to its occupants. "Another feature found in the Sedanlet Se-danlet is that of the doors, which measure mea-sure 24 inches wide, thus insuring comfort com-fort and convenience in getting m and out. "Equipped with the all-year top, tho inside height of the Sedanlet from the floor to the roof is 4 feet 4 inches, thus insuring plenty of space without danger dan-ger of bumping one's head or the necessity neces-sity of having to move about or stand in'., an over stooped position. Sedanlet to Be Popular. "Without a doubt the Sedanlet will not' only prove'; popular among those car owners who v.'ant a car for purposes for which this type of automobile was originally designed,-- but it will also prove popular among business men and women who do not want or require a large car for every day use. ' ' An added feature is that of the new summer top. This top is designed along the semi-Victoria stvle, and has unusual individuality nnd distinctiveness, and, in addition, possesses a racy, Bmart appearance ap-pearance that will commend itself to those car purchasers who want some-1 some-1 thing a little different. ''This summer top in Pantasote, is built along original lines. It is of the one-man ,style and fastens to the windshield wind-shield in front, and has one plate glass 'porthole' on each side and two in the rear. ' ' The Sedanlet is available on the Hundred Point Six chassis the well-known well-known oar of a hundred quality features fea-tures with the sturdy Kissel-built power plant, axles and double external brakes, and on the new double six chassis.
