Show H YELLOWSTONE PARK ROUTES ARE COMPLETED i r, . BSAUTFUL ROADS N GNTLE VALLEY, DAHOs OZB OP TfJ?OUT$ TO YELLOWSTONE PARR. c Has Not Experienced Any Car, Tire or Lubrication Troubles. By W. D. EISHEL. With the publication of maps and logs through Gentile valley, Soda Springs and Lava Hot Springs, The Tribune completes the various routes into Yellowstone park. Those who have saved these logs and maps have l the latest information oC the various the best road to the park, the Salt the best roads to the park, the Salt Lake-Yellowstone highway. On the return home from this trip it might not be amiss to say a little about the car, tires and lubricants used so far this year by The Tribune ath-filder. ath-filder. The speedometer registered a little over 5000 miles. This is not a great mileage on paved city streets, but when it is taken into consideration that the Pathfinder has negotiated all kinds of roads, good, bad, indifferent, t and some that cannot be called roads at all, it tells a different story. During Dur-ing this time the Pathfinder 'has not had a single puncturet blow-out or any tire trouble. The original air is still in the tires. We use lirestone Cords., -v. The car has never been in the re- f pair shop for repairs of any kind during dur-ing this time. Beyond washing, greasing greas-ing and oiling, adjusting carburetor for altitudes (the car has been over 10,000 feet high), adjusting brakes and tak-ing tak-ing carbon out of cylinders, there has not been any work done on the car. Trips of over 1000 miles have been made without opening the tool kit for even a pair' of pliers, wrench or screw driver. The car is a series IS Stude-1 Stude-1 baker Six. Vico oils and lubricants are used. The same spark plugs are still in the car which were placed there by the factory. Springs and spring shackles, steering gears, differential, transmission transmis-sion and all parts of the car have seen nothing .but Vico lubricants and there has been no lubrication troubles. Por-haps Por-haps after making such statements as the above, with a couple of thousand miles still ahead of the Pathfinder, it might bo a good plan to ' ' knock on wood," but the writer feels it is due the Studebaker car, Firestone Cords ' and Vico lubricants to make these1 statements at this time. I Por the balance of the season The Tribune Pathfinder will do its work in the southern part of the country, mak- I ing new logs and maps of the main automobile highways in this section. Those who have followed The Tribune car through its wanderings this year and saved the maps and logs will have. absolutely the latest and best road data flint can bo found anywhere in the country.
