Show FARMERS HUffi ! ' PROSPEROUS CLASS Examples Show Large Profits Prof-its Made in Tilling Soil of Utah. That farmers are the most prosperous .lass of people in the country today is indicated by the following interesting examples gathered by members of the firm of Kimball & Richards, who have just returned from a trip through the Bear Biver valley. One man who purchased a farm last year too late to plant a fall crop managed man-aged to get his land in first-class shape and this spring planted the entire farm. His harvest this fall is sufficient to make his yearly payment on the farm, fill a one-hundred-ton silo, make the first payment on an additional forty-acre forty-acre farm and buy and pay for a $1350 automobile. Another man will harvest from $300 to $400 worth of potatoes per aore on his farm, which he purchased last year for less than $150 per acre. Still other farmers will harvest from $80 to $125 per acre from their sugar beets this season, indicating a very healthy agri- cultural and financial condition. Ono of the party says: "Prosperity and happiness seem to be the lot of the farmer this season. If there was ever a time to get in the farming business, surely this is that time. High prices for farm products will undoubtedly prevail pre-vail for several years and if this is the case the price of desirable farm lands will be sure to advance." It is a regular practice of Kimball & Richards to have their customers visited visit-ed and encouraged in their work. This firm has found that the way to keep a man satisfied with his purchase is to help him succeed. So encouraged are the buyers of farms through tha Bear River valley this year that it is doubtful doubt-ful if there are any happier people anywhere. |
