Show SONG IS DEDICATED TO THE BOY SCOUTS Action Is Ta&en at Banquet of the Y. M. and Y. L. M. I. A, in the Bishop's Building. The reading- of "Mr Native Land, My Native Land," adapted from Randall's Ran-dall's "Maryland, My Maryland," and dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America Amer-ica by Brigham H. Roberts, formed the feature of the dinner of tho general hoards of the Young Men's and Young Ladies ' Mutual ni prove men t association associa-tion given in the Bishop's building last evening. The meeting of the boards was essentially essen-tially patriotic. At the conclusion of the dinner all the guests sang "America," "Amer-ica," accompanied by the Romania Hyde quartette. A patriotic prayer was next uttered, after which .President Ke-ber Ke-ber J. Grant introduced as toastmaster of the evening B. S. Hinckley. Orson F. Whitney responded to the toast. ' ' The American Woman, 1 ' following fol-lowing which Counsellor Ruth May Fox responded with "My Ideal American." Amer-ican." Lincoln stories were told by Miss Mary E. Connelly, Mrs. May Booth Taimage, President Anthon H. Lund and George Albert Smith. Brigham H. Roberts concluded the toasts with a response to "The Hag.'' Miss Margaret Snmmerhays sang "The Star Spangled Banner, ' ' after which the guests danced until 11 o'clock. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated dec-orated with American flags and a profusion pro-fusion of American Beauty roses. Those in charge of the refreshments were Miss Mell Homer and Miss Cora 01-sen. 01-sen. About 150 were in attendance. |
