Show CENSORSHIP BILL IS DISAPPROVED While no formal action was taken by the city commission yesterday morning in disfavor of senate bill No. S. providing for state censorship of moving picture productions, the result of a lengthy discussion dis-cussion was an informal disapproval of the measure. The commissioners are disposed to favor fa-vor the contention of the clubwomen of the city, who are opposing the bill, that I state censorship cannot give any benefit 'that is not now possible under the city j ordinances. It was pointed out that It is within the power of the city commission at the present time to suppress the exhibition exhi-bition of any picture that public opinion demands should be not shown. |
