Show m. mm dies AFTER LIS ILLNESS Wife of Salt Lake Baseball Club Manager Passes Away Peacefully. Mrs. William H. Bernhard. wife of the manager of the Salt Lake -baseball club. I died at S o'clock last evening at the family apartments in the Covey flats on South Temple street. Mrs. Bernhard had been 111 for, many years. It was in the hope that the tonic of the mountain air would . j prove beneficial that she accompanied her ' husband to Salt Lake from their home at ! Memphis, Tenn. For a space Mrs. Bern-hard Bern-hard improved noticeably, and only yesterday yes-terday she appeared to be gaining ground. Last evening, feeling somewhat fatigued, she lay Gown for a rest. With her husband hus-band reading to her she fell into a doze, from which she awoke only a few minutes before the end came. She was about 37 years of age. Although on account of her affliction Mrs. Bernhard was unable to be much about, she nevertheless won many friends during her brief residence in Salt Lake. Her lovahle "disposition- and her cheerfulness cheerful-ness under long-continued suffering drew to her many sympathetic ladies and to these the announcement of her death will be a' source of sincere sorrow. Today the body will be taken by the bereaved husband to Buffalo, N. Y., the old family home, where It will be interred in-terred beside that of a daughter, who died in early youtk |
