Show PHILLIPS WILL PLAY CENTRALS TONIGHT The third series in the Affiliated Church Basketball league will take place tonight in the gymnasium of the Public Safety building. The schedule for tonight is: Phillips Congregational vs. Central Christians, and Burlington Baptists va. St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral. The former for-mer two are tied for the upper ring, while the latter are in the same fix in regard to the cellar title, and two spirited contest con-test s are expected. The first game will start promptly at 7:u, the top-notchers meeting. The battle between the Phillips Congregational Con-gregational and Central 'In istia n lives promises to be the best game thus far in the Church league. The Burlington Baptist and Catholic Cathedral lives both fell bffore these two quints in about the j same fashion and the two are quite even- , ly match. The title race was between the I 'two teams last year. I Evan Tavlor and Clarence Rudine will be annexed to the Phillips squad tonight. Both are well-known local athletes of no Imenn abilltv and should prove valuable I assets to the Phillips aggregation. The former will work at center, while Taylor will perform a t forward. Captain I iois-ington iois-ington and Manager Cliff Rudine will be j seen at t he guard positions, while Bob Abbott ""ill till the .other position at forward. for-ward. With tli is squad in t lie ti"ld, the followers of the Phiiiips team are confident confi-dent of vi'-tL-ry. Although Finer Brown has joined the Central Christians, this by no means fill; up the place mad vacant by the loss of Tiny Leonard. The Central Christian fans are banking on their forwards, Verde Mickelson and Walt Iarsen. to heat the Phillips men. while Harold Wil-liart Wil-liart will be their mainstay as a guard.
