Elliot Cowdin, the first American aviator to return home since the break with Qermany, has offered of-fered his services to the United States in case of war. Cowdin, who has received several French medals for gallantry In action while a member of the Franco-American flying corps, has been released from duty on account of a weak heart. He made it plain,, however, that in case of hostilities hostili-ties he would climb into hts seat on a warplane, "heart or no heart," and do all in hla power to help the aviation corps here to become as famous as the one across the water. |
