Show i . BIG ATTENDANCE AT CEDAR CITY ROUNDUP Special to The Tribune. CEDAR CITY, Feb. 14. The fourth annual an-nual fanners' roundup and housekeepers' conference is in session1 here this week. The. prominence of agriculture in its relation re-lation to the activities of life is being ably treated by J. W. Paxman of Nephi. Mr. Paxman yesterday discussed the question ques-tion of dry farming. He declared that the land in Iron county was best adapted for dry farming of any in the state. The live stock industry was discussed by David Sharp, Jr. Mr, Sharp urged the necessity of intensive farming. Ie said that t he public range is a thing of the past and that the man who keeps live stock wiil have to feed them at home hereafter. Pyron Alder of the U. A. C. talked to the women's and young men's sections on the subject of poultry raising. "The Feediug and Care of Dairv Animals" Ani-mals" was discussed by Ben F-ldredge, the science of veterinary by Dr. Frederick, Fred-erick, and the chemistry of the household by Miss McCheyne. The roundup this' year is the largest one ever held in the historv of Cedar City and it has been enthusiastically ap-, ap-, predated by all who have attended. |
