Show JAKE DAUBERT ONCE SOLD FOR A DOLLAR MARION", Ohio, Feb. 2.1, In view of the fact that Jake Daubert of "the Brooklyn Brook-lyn Nationals la now one of the greatest llrst-sackcrs In baseball, the following article of agreement signed when Daubert was sold by Marlon to Cleveland In 1907 is of interest: Marion, Ohio. Aug. 15. 1007. In consideration of one dollar, receipt re-ceipt of which Is hereby acknowledged, acknowl-edged, we agree to sell thn release 1 of Player Daubert to the Cleveland American league club for the sum of twelve hundred ($1200) dollars; It being be-ing understood that the one dollar hereby acknowledged jh In part payment pay-ment of the amount named and It Is further understood that the said Player Daubert is to finish the chain- . plonshlp ficaaoa with the Marion club. Said ngreemcnt to bo closed by telegraph tele-graph or telephone by IS o'clock noon, August 1C. 1&07. The Cleveland club further agrees to release Scotty Tngerton outright to the Marlon Baseball club. It was signed by Oswald Wollenwob-ber. Wollenwob-ber. president of the Marlon club, and Ed F. Bang, sporting editor of the Cleveland Cleve-land News, who was then a scout for the Cleveland club. The "Article of Agreement" Agree-ment" was witnessed by "W, IL Nichols of Marlon.
