Some Berlin newspapers news-papers have been severely reprimanding Hamburg for tho manifestations of lively Interest with which that city greeted Jack Johnson upon his recent visit. Tho Berliner Tageblatt disgustedly points out that the numbor of people who crowded to tho rlngsldo to see Johnson John-son wrestle the German. Fred Markus-sen, Markus-sen, was considerably greater than that attending tho first performance of "Parsifal" "Parsi-fal" tho following night. There wore more than 4000 persons present, the majority ma-jority paying from $6 to $10 a seat. Johnson John-son was easily defeated. |
