Show TOMORROW WILL BE ITI01 HOLIDAY Business to Be Generally Suspended in Honor of Washington's Birthday. Tomorrow will be observed throughout through-out the United States as a national holiday to commemorate tho anniversary anniver-sary of the birth of George Washington. Washing-ton. In view of the fact that tho twenty-second day of the month falls on Sunday this year tho celebration and the general observance of tho occasion oc-casion will take piaco tomorrow. The city schools, the banks, stores and business houses will be closed all day tomorrow. Holiday hours will be observed at the postofiice. One delivery deliv-ery will be mado throughout the city and tho office windows will be open from 10 o'clock in tho morning until 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The offices of-fices of the city, state and federal officials of-ficials will also be closed. Several elaborate celebrations will bo hold tomorrow nnd military honors will be paid to Washington's memory. Mem-bers Mem-bers of the Grand Army of tho Republic Re-public and tho women of tho auxiliary organizations of the G. A. R. in Salt Lake havo received invitations to attend at-tend a "campfire" to bc held by tho Spanish war veterans in Odd Fellows' hall tomorrow night. Patriotic men's services will bo conducted con-ducted at tho Y. M". C. A. at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. A programme suitable to tho occasion has been arranged ar-ranged and members of the various affiliated af-filiated organizations havo been iuvited to attend. |
