Show CITIZENS OF LUND MAKE A COMPLAINT Declare That Speculators Are Retarding Development By Holding for Profit. Whether Lund, a townsito in Iron county, shall bo incorporated as a town and developed as bucii, or whether tho townsito as now laid out shall be owned by ono or two capitalists who have acquired ac-quired a majority of the town lots, is a question pending in tho United States land office. It is alleged that many residents in Lund and vicinity arc eager to develop tho town, but that they arc kept from their purpose by tho owners oi a majority ma-jority of the town lots, who aro socking to retain the property for investment invest-ment purposes without necessarily developing de-veloping tho land. Residents of 'Lund have asked the aid of tho development committee of the Salt Lake Commercial club to help thorn in making Lund a town. Tho development committee which was organized yesterday, appointed a committee of eleven to "iuvestigate the Lund controversy. Briant S. Young and II. D. Landcs were appointed chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of tho committee. |
