Show NEVADA SHEEP ARE IN GOOD CONDITION George Hawks of Eeno 'Says -Feed Has Been Plentiful and Weathor Favorable. George Hawks, stock agent for the Southern Pacific, returned from Reno, Nov., Friday evening and reported that this winter has been the most favorable favor-able for sheep which that part of the country has experienced for a good number of years. According to Mr. Hawks tho 'climato ink Rouo is iust about tho same as it has boon in Salt Lake, and a comparatively small number num-ber of sheop have died this, winter. Mr. Hawks said last night: It was rumored, about early in the winter that a large number of sheep would die during the winter on tho western plains, but this statement state-ment did not provo to be true. Practically all tho sheen are within a region where it would bo possible to ship grain and hay by the railroads rail-roads if this became necessary, but there was no need of doing so. Feed in that region was abundant and nono of tho stock suffered from want of this. |
