One of tho largest and prettiest affairs of tho week was tho annual valentine ball given by tho young ladles of St. Jo-seph'H Jo-seph'H ohurch in the Colonial hall Mon-day Mon-day evonlng. Valentino decorations pre-vailed pre-vailed throughout tho hall and restrooms. Various colored butterflies, togother with red hearts, formed a canopy In the cen-ter cen-ter of tho lia.Il. while at th0 east end of the hall was placed a wing of a butterfly formed of varl-colorod lights. Streamers of red and white radiated from tho cen-ter cen-ter of the canopy to the sides and cor-ncrs cor-ncrs of the hall. Red, white and blue lights. Intertwined with smllox, were strung about tho punch booth. Red hearts, together with numerous smaller lights, formed a canopy over the orchestra bal-cony, bal-cony, where Crawford's orchestra fur-nlslied fur-nlslied music for a programmo of twenty -one dances.
