Show Snowfall Is Heavy. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Fob. 21. Balked by the heaviest snow In the history of the district, dis-trict, J. W. Asdalc. a forest ranger of Three Creeks, Idaho, reached Ogden to-"day to-"day on a journey of several hundred miles in order to reach Elko, Nev., which place ordinarily ho would have reached with less than 100 miles of travel by horseback horse-back and stage. Mr. Asdalo declares that the snow in tho Three Creeks or old "7i Range" country has completely buried the sagebrush and it has been necessary to bring in tho horsos to keep them from starving to death. With thiB amount of snow on tho ground the temperature, according ac-cording to the forest ranger, has been as low as 20 degrees below zero. |
