Various projects arc under way which will open a new era of prosperity pros-perity for all of the Alta companies.. A railrond Is under construction up Little Cottonwood canyon which will connect with the tramway from the Mlohlgan-Utah company at Tanner's Flat, four miles below Alta. Various tunnel enterprises, which will glvo drainage at lower depth arc under way and splendid new resources are being opened far above the water line by the Alta Consolidated under the direction of the Jacobson Bros. Tho ore now hauled from Alta averages aver-ages from $30 to $45 per ton in value. WTien the cost of transportation is reduced by rail or tunnel connections, It will be profitable to ship a much lower grade of rock, and tho tonnage of the camp will be Increased enormously. enor-mously. At the same time Its shipping ship-ping season will be lengthened to cover the entire year.
