Th is is the statement made by the officials of the great new subdivision at Ninth East and Tenth South streets, following the closa of tho first two weeks of sales in the tract. Marlborough Marl-borough place was opened June 2 and since that date the Hoffman company has achieved a salo record for lots in the district that outstrips the com pany's sales in tho same length of time on any other residence property it ever handled. Now cornea the news of the first of the new homes to o up. The first half dozen houses, cottages and bungalows will bo built at once on Emerson avenue. This is the street farthest north in the tract and runs from Ninth East street to Seventh East street. Tt is one of the most beautiful avenues of Marlborough place and the curbing snd guttering is being be-ing Tushed to completion on the street. "We have accepted plans for tho first fivo houses and they will be started at once," said "Vice President E, C. Hoffman of the company Saturday. "We are going to mako these homes typical of the beauty and convenionco of Marlborough place, and thov will include many comforts not iisually found in a new subdivision. Gas and electric lights and telephones are at our door and ready for installation, while city water, curbing, guttering, sidewalks, graded streets, parking and shade trees are all included in the price of Marlborough place lots. Our building build-ing sites are unusually large, running in frontages from 37 to 40 and 51 feet.
