Clark. 303 Seventh Sev-enth East street, to the emergency ho8-pltal ho8-pltal at police headquarters for medical medi-cal attention yesterday ofternoon. when she shortly made a startling return to full consciousness. Tne electric battery In the hospital was applied and with the lirst turn of the crank, oporatcd by Motorcycle Patrolman Harry Smith, the woman sat up and yelled, Jailer Thomas tilllcsple touched her on the neck with the wire and the woman laughingly told him to "go 'way." That the woman's condition might bo dangerous was suspected bv her employee em-ployee when she failed to got up yesterday yes-terday and remained apparently asleep late into the day. A physician was summoned sum-moned and worked over her for some time.. He could find no evidence of the cifect of any drug, but was baffled by what Is now believed to have b;en a bit of "possum" play. The physician went with the ambulance to the emergency hospital and witnessed the reviving effects ef-fects of the electricity. He complimented the Jailer and patrolman on the effectiveness effective-ness of their method and left the hospital hos-pital laughing |
