WITH their machino placarded "From the City of Saints to tho City of Angels via the Golden Gate," O. E. Bran ning, a restaurant proprietor of this city, known as the "Chili king;" Prank Gaskill and Edward Langrand, left The Tribuno office 3'esterday afternoon after-noon for tho Pacific coast. Their automobile auto-mobile was loaded with pots, kettles and hunting and fishing paraphorvalia. The party plans to get to Ely, Nev., by way of the road recently found by The Tribuno-Velio pathfinder. The theory the-ory is- advanced for tho unique sign on either side of tho machine, that it will help the party in finding 'its way and that the natives will see the announcement announce-ment and show the straight and narrow path to tho sea. A carefully charted road is to bo followed fol-lowed out through the Deep Creek country to Ely, thence to Reno and then to San Prnncisco. Prom there Me party will go to Yosemito or direct to Los Angeles, via tho coast route. Tho members of the party aro figur- ing on going whero they please, stopping stop-ping whon and wliei. they please and enjoying an all around outing. They aro carrying supplies enough to provide pro-vide for all their wants. |
