JOHN BERNSTROM IS SADDER AND WISER Man Who Turned in False Alarm Goes Free After Three Days in J ail. John Bernstrom, a Swede, living in the rear of 473 lCust Eighth South street, was found guilty in police court yesterday morning of turning iu a fnlsc alarm on the afternoon of June. 1J. Sentence was suspended yesterday bv Judge N. H. Tanner after Charles Reeding Reed-ing superintendent of tire alarms, asked the judge that, no sentence be imposed that, would interfere with tho defendant's efforts to earn a living for his family. Bernstrom was allowed to go free, after having spent throe days in jnil as a penalty for his practical joke.
