Workman were married in the Naples Relief Society Room by Bishop Lawrence D. Kay Feb. 8. A reception followed in the cultural hall. Here to attend the wedding and reception were ' Mrs. Workman's sister and brother-in-law Mark andDiane Smith and children who came via air from Hillspring Alberta, Canada. The Smiths returned to Canada Saturday. Annette Oldaker came from Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho to spend the weekend with her parents the Carl Oldakers and family. Alwyn and Marilyn Call have a baby boy born Feb. 1 in the Bountiful Lake View Hospital. The baby weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and will be named Anson Alwyn Jr. Una ti. cnnstensen and daughters of Salt Lake City visited the Kenneth Birds and family Thursday and Friday of last week returning to Salt Lake City Saturday morning. Lee and Charma Karren and children of Rangely, Colo, visited their mother Edris Karren over the weekend. Dr. Jay B. Karren of Smithfield accompanied by his daughter Lynette, came to Vernal Monday on business. While here they visited his mother Edris Karren. They returned home Friday. Carl Oldaker went to Torrington, Wyo. last Wednesday on business. Sherri Nielsen and daughters Krista and Tara of Springville came to attend the wedding and reception of Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Workman. Phillip and Ella Manwaring took Ashel and Elva Manwaring to Salt Lake City Sunday where Elva entered the hospital to have surgery Monday. Edna R. Call returned Monday from a five day stay in Bountiful for medical attention. ReNee and Rosalyn Rainey of Salt Lake City visited at the Larry Rainey home a few days last week. They are Larry's sisters. Morris and Norda Cook were in St. George and Hurricane over the weekend. While in St. George they visited with Janet Merrell and Christa Foster who are attending Dixie College. On the way home they visited in Provo with Jack and Viola Webb who are attending BYU. They returned home late Saturday night. Jimmie and Minnie Jones went to Juarez, Mexico on business Tuesday returning Saturday evening. Larry and Debra Johnson and children of Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with their parents Von and Lulu Stewart. Marlin and Lorna Moon and family of Salt Lake City visited their parents Ralph and Nellie Southam and family and other relatives last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Harrison accompanied ac-companied by Jennie and Leo and Mr. and Mrs. Lamond Harrison and son Dean, went to Salt Lake City Saturday to visit Ruth Harrison and Kermit's brother Kent and family and his sister Jean Rogers and family. The remains of the 85 million-year-old single-celled creature have been magnified thousands of times by a SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) used by Amoco Production Company, a subsidiary of Standard Oil Company (Indiana). By examining such bits of geologic minulia, Amoco Paleontologists are able to age and date strata penetrated by drill bits. |
