The Panthers leaped out to a 10 to 2 lead in the first quarter due to two field goals by Neldon Seitz, Brian McNamara Mc-Namara and free throws by Clark Emery and Galen Turner. The Panthers fired in 15 points in the second quarter for a 25 to 12 advantage. The top scorers in the second quarter for Vernal were Brian McNamara, 4 and Jeff Drollinger, 4. Vernal had a ten-point ten-point lead of 36 to 26 after three quarters, quar-ters, and flipped in 22 points in the fourth quarter for a 58 to 40 win. Brian McNamara fired in seven points in the fourth quarter on one field goal and five free throws. Doug Allen popped in six points on one field goal and four free throws. Brian McNamara was the top scorer in the game with 17 points on six field goals and five free throws. Clark Emery fired in ten points, and Galen Turner scored nine points.
