Show Woodhouse places 2nd Morgan Woodhouse, a 1979 graduate from Uintah High School, and two-time state champ, nipped Lovato of New Mexico, 9-8, in a 134 pound contest. Brigham Young University toppled New Mexico, 26 to 18. Taylor, 118 and Snook, 126, BYU, won matches due to forfeits. Also winning matches for BYU were: Owen, 158, 13-3 decision over Imbriano; Boyd, 167, 3-2 I decision over Laster and Curtiss, 177, 10-2 decision over Johnson. Woodhouse nabbed second place in the New Mexico Invitational. BYU's Ed Snook, 126; Neldon Gardner, 142: Chad Teickert. 150; Donny Owen, 158 and Mont Curtiss, 177, placed first. Chris Taylor, 118, netted second place. BYU nabbed first place in the tourney with 903j points. |
