Show Former Vernalite named president of women's group Mrs. Betty Richardson was recently elected president of the newly organized Orem Region of Utah Association of Women (UAW). Utah Association of Women has been in existence for two and one-half years and has grown to include regions in every county in the state. The purpose of the organization is to strengthen the family, making it more supportive in the community and county. Women are made to become better informed about issues and public policies that affect the 1 family. Mrs. Betty Glenn Johnson Richardson Richard-son is the daughter of Mrs. Melvin W. Neiberger, Vernal. She attended BYU ' and later married Ladell Richardson, Provo. They have lived in Orem most of their married life except for a short time spent in Nevada and California. Mrs. Richardson has been active in church, school and civic functions most of her married life. She is the mother of seven children and foster mother of three Indian children in the Indian Placement Program. She has been primary president and teacher, relief society president and teacher, Sunday School teacher, Y.W. teacher (both ward and stake), stake relief society counselor, republican committee representative, active in PTA and her favorite activity is working in the scouting program. Her husband, Ladell, has recently been made bishop in the LDS Church and their three oldest sons have served missions for the LDS Church. if i S :. ......'.-) i. . . v i BETTY RICHARDSON is Orem's UAW president. |
